About JCI Janakpur

JCI Janakpur, officially registered under the name Janakpur Jaycees, was established in 1976 AD under

The affiliation of Nepal Jaycees and Junior Chamber International(JCI). The Late JC Laxmi Bahadur Nirala (Former Attorney General & Member of the Judicial Council) was the founding president of Janakpur Jaycees. It stands as one of the pioneer Jaycees chapters in Nepal and operates from its own secretariat located at Kadam Chowk, Janakpurdham-4, Dhanusha, Madhesh Province, Nepal.

Since its establishment, JCI Janakpur has been contributing toward individual development and social reformation. The year 2025 marks its glorious 50th anniversary, celebrating five decades of impactful service and leadership. Throughout this journey, its members have continuously made significant contributions to society and the community.

Aligned under Area A, JCI Janakpur remains one of the most prominent Jaycees chapters in Nepal, committed to empowering youth and advancing the global community. It provides opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, social responsibility, and fellowship—all essential to creating positive change.

While the primary focus of JCI Janakpur is to develop personality and leadership qualities, it also serves society through multidimensional community-oriented activities, creating opportunities for youth under the Active Citizen Framework. Every Jaycees organization follows the rules of “One Person, One Position, One year.” Each year’s activities are implemented as distinct projects under the respective

Persidential Themes.
For 2025, the themes are as follows:

  • JCI International: “Rise Up”
  • JCI Nepal: “Rise Together for a Better Tomorrow”
  • JCI Janakpur: “Gather – Elevate – Transform”

We believe that active citizenship starts at the local level, and meaningful development happens when young people take charge of shaping their own communities. Our members come from diverse backgrounds yet share a common goal—to grow as leaders while making Janakpurdham a better place to live.
